Computers and technology

The development and use of computer technology has been a feature of Wilsonton State School over many years. Our students have access to the following technological resources:

  • a local school network connecting every classroom to Education Queensland’s wide area network and the Internet
  • a computer bar and two touch screen computers connected to the Internet in the library
  • three computer labs connected to the Internet and network printers
  • interactive whiteboards in every classroom
  • a wide range of curriculum software that is an integral part of classroom teaching and learning
  • multimedia software to produce multimodal presentations
  • access to a growing number of iPads in classrooms to provide interactive learning experiences.
